Class Levels
- Preschool: Age 3-5 Years
- Beginner: Intended for the emerging dancer. Covers basic dance terms, feet positions, and port
de bras.
- Beg. Intermediate: Dancer should know and understand all basic dance terms. Execute dance
basics and be working on single pirouettes.
- Intermediate: Intended for the experienced dancer with solid ballet technique and turnout.
Dancers should have clean single pirouettes and be working on a double.
- Advanced: Intended for the accomplished dancer. Dancers need to have an extensive working
knowledge of Ballet terminology. Execution of Double pirouettes on both sides is required.
- Teen: Intended for more mature dancers. Various levels are expected. Ages 12 and up.
- Hip Hop 1: Ages 7-11 years.
- Hip Hop 2: Ages 12 and up with 1-2 years experience
- Hip Hop 3: 3 years + experience. Teacher recommended.
- Acting: Ages 10 and up
- Pointe: Int. + level. Teacher recommended.
- Modern 1: 0-2 years experience.
- Modern 2: 2-3+ years experience.
- Modern 3: 3+ years Adv. Level.
- Student Choreography: Int. + Level.
- Music Theatre 1: Beginning vocal students.
- Music Theatre 2: Reading required.
- Music Theatre 3: Teacher recommended (Teen mature content).
*Artistic Director has final decision on level placement. If you are unsure what level to sign up for please
call the studio
**Students will be evaluated during the first month of classes and adjustments to level will be made if
necessary
Class Description
- P.S.:Hour Combination class Ballet/Voice/Tap or Jazz.
- Ballet: Classical Ballet technique with emphasis on terminology. Includes barre & center work.
- Pointe:Continuation of Ballet technique on pointe. Must be recommended by teacher.
- Jazz: Broadway & Modern Jazz styles.
- Tap: Broadway & Rhythm Tap.
- Lyrical:Combination of Jazz & Ballet techniques to create interpretive dance.
- Modern: Abstract form of dance focusing on breathe, contraction & release. Martha Graham style.
- Musical Theatre: Group vocal instruction with dance movement.
- Hip Hop: Group Street style dancing with isolations as seen in Music Videos.
- Acting: Monologue, Improv. & Scene study.
- Student Choreography: Learn elements of compositions and transitions to create
choreography successfully.
- Salsa: Latin Ballroom dance.
